Shipping & Delivery Policies

You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase wine. ADULT SIGNATURE REQUIRED.

By placing your order you have represented to Cask that you are at least 21 years of age. All alcoholic beverages that Cask arranges for delivery on your behalf must be received and signed for by an adult of legal drinking age.

Important Notice

Due to federal and state regulations, all wine deliveries must be received by an adult 21 years of age or older. An adult must be physically present to sign for the wine delivery. Therefore, Cask recommends that you use a business address. Federal regulations also make it illegal to deliver wine to post office boxes. Cask cannot schedule deliveries for a specific time during the day.

Please Note - The time it takes to pull, assemble and process a typical order is approximately 2-3 business days before arranging for delivery. If your order is time-sensitive, it is suggested you choose an expedited delivery option. Delivery dates are never guaranteed if sent via Ground service.

Please be advised that deliveries will NOT be held despite possible low or high temperatures in your area. Your purchase confirms the authorization of the immediate arrangement of delivery. To hold deliveries, please make a note when placing the order.

Place of Sale

Title to, and ownership of, all wine passes from seller to buyer in the State in which the sale occurs, and the buyer takes all responsibility for the wine being transported from the state of sale to the buyer's selected destination. By placing an order, the buyer authorizes the seller to act on the buyer’s behalf in arranging for transportation of the wine at the buyer’s direction. Alternatively, the buyer may choose to pick up the wine at the seller’s location or make independent delivery arrangements. Sales tax will be applied based on the seller’s location. Seller makes no representation as to the legal rights of anyone to deliver or import any wines, alcoholic beverages or other goods into any state. The buyer is solely responsible for the transport of wine and other goods purchased and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the wine and other goods delivered to the applicable destination.

Cask's Policy on Consumer Transportation of Purchase Requirements

Cask's policy is to strictly observe all legal requirements on delivery that exist in New York and other states. Cask requires customers visiting its facilities in person, online, or who call via telephone, who buy wine and other items to either pick up their purchases at Cask, or to have their purchases delivered to themselves under such legal rights as may exist (and such rights change regularly – consumers are strongly advised to know the requirements that apply to them) for them to take delivery of wine in the state or area in which they live. This legally permitted method of doing business involves the following steps (1) title legally (under the Uniform Commercial Code) transfers in the state of sale, where the goods are sold, (2) Cask files tax reports per state law, and (3) the bill of lading shows the customer (who directs the process of either picking up his or her wine or having it delivered in accordance with the customer’s legal rights) as the party directing the delivery.
